This is a very rare Epiphone Pro USA from 1989 in great condition. Made in the Nashville Gibson factory. Basically this was the bolt-on sister of the legendary Gibson U-2 superstrat designed by Grover Jackson. Very thin and fast neck with wide R5 nut spacing, totally effortless to play with great access up to the last fret.
Feels and plays awesome, has sweet and resonant tone, great for leads.
All stock except for the new tuners and new bridge humbucker. Poplar body and rock maple neck with ebony board. German-made Schaller Floyd II with Gibson logo and upgraded big brass sustain block. The bridge pickup is Seymour Duncan "Perpetual Burn" (Jason Becker signature model) with coil-splitting via the push-pull tone pot. The tuners are brand new Wilkinsons.
The paint on the body was flaking off when I got it, so I had it professionally refinished (by the renown luthier Eyb Guitars) in original ebony black and now it looks like new again. The neck has typical age-related cracks in the nitro along the fretboard edges and on the headstock front, purely cosmetic issue. Back of the neck is smooth and there are no dents, cracks or other damage anywhere. The medium jumbo frets are 80-90% and have lots of life left, low action and no buzz. This is by all means a high-end, professional rock machine.
A well-padded quality gigbag is included.
Will ship worldwide as well, please ask for quote before buying. Please allow up to 1 week for shipping, because I often have to work late and can't make it to the post office on time.
Pick-up in person in Stuttgart is also possible of course.
I'm a private seller, so no returns accepted and no warranty offered. It is being sold in other portals and locally as well, so I reserve the right to cancel the sale in case it sells faster elsewhere - first come, first serve. In that case the buyer will of course get a full refund.
