This is a fabulous Supro 1600 Supreme from 1960.
This amp is a very close cousin to the Coronado as they both use the 6093 power tubes. Closely linked to the Jimmy Page sound and for a reason!
This amp has tight and bold cleans with lot of articulation. When pushed and dimed the amp remains very articulate and has a direct quality to it. It plays like if you're part of the circuit, it's hard to explain. Ripping pas ts off when dimed.
When clean, it reminds me of Alabama Shakes Future People clean guitar sound.
Serial number T33515.
Period correct GE 6093 power tubes and 12ax7's.
Jensen c10r sounds amazing in this amp. It never farts out.
Very good all around condition.
A few rust spots on the chassis but nothing bad.
3 prong plug installed.
It's a very rare find in this finish.
In one word : a beast!
