The possibilities of the Future Impact V4 are almost limitless and will become even more extensive in the future with firmware updates, guaranteeing long-term use of the pedal.The popularity of the Future ImpactDeveloper Andras Szalay developed the Deep Impact synth bass pedal for Akai in the mid-1990s, which became extremely popular over the following years. With the pedal still in demand after more than a decade, Andras Szalay developed a completely new version of the Deep Impact, which was to become known as the Future Impact. The new pedal gained great popularity, and over the years popular musicians such as Chris Wolstenholme (Muse), Doug Wimbish (Living Colour, The Rolling Stones), Alissia Benveniste and Bootsy Collins acquired a taste for the Future Impact. After the pedal gained great popularity since its launch at Release, further updates followed in the coming years until the third version of the bass synthesizer found its way onto the market with the Future Impact V3. Panda Audio explains that for a new version of the Future Impact, it was no longer possible to simply overwrite the last version of the V3 firmware of the pedal and they therefore had to insist on both new hardware and new firmware. The result: the Future Impact V4, which comes with numerous new features and has plenty of room for future updates thanks to a completely new firmware.
