Gibson Les Paul Studio Ebony EMG 81/60 2009

Electric Soul presents a Gibson Les Paul Studio guitar. This is a 2009 model in classic black finish, with a few interesting modifications that make it more suitable for heavier music styles.

The guitar is equipped with active EMG 81/60 pickups, one of the most popular choices for high-gain playing. If, like Zakk Wylde or the guitarists of Metallica, you enjoy classic instruments but want a more aggressive sound, this guitar is a very attractive option that you will not find in the original factory catalog.

The EMG 81 is a classic pickup for heavy rhythm playing with distortion, while the EMG 60 offers excellent clean tones and a more natural sound, similar to passive pickups. Combined with a Gibson Les Paul, they create a great setup for heavy music while still being versatile.

In addition to the upgraded electronics, the guitar has black locking tuners. They keep the classic Gibson look but work better than the standard tuners and match the guitar’s aggressive style.

This 2009 Studio model has a chambered body and, despite its 50’s style neck, it is surprisingly light for a Les Paul. This guitar weighs only 3.35 kg (7.4 lbs), making it very comfortable for long playing sessions.

As expected from a guitar of this age, it has some signs of use, including light scratches, small dents, and minor marks. These are only cosmetic and do not affect performance. Technically, everything works perfectly. The guitar is fully functional, and the frets are in excellent condition after a light fret dressing, with no work needed.
