This is a vacuum tube condenser microphone manufactured for only five years, starting in 1953. This microphone's built-in power supply made it prone to power supply noise, but switching to an external power supply eliminated this microphone's only weakness and delivered exceptional sound.
Due to its limited production run and high value, it is not easily obtainable.
This microphone has minimal scratches and has been switched to an external power supply.
The cable from the microphone to the power supply is made by the trusted Japanese manufacturer MOGAMI.
It is in good condition, but there is some vacuum tube noise. If this is a concern, we recommend replacing the vacuum tubes.
This microphone is equipped with two EF12 vacuum tubes, delivering an authentic vintage sound rich in harmonic content. It also boasts extremely high output, making it powerful enough to be used with a line amplifier.
This lollipop-style microphone requires a capsule, but is compatible with a variety of capsules, including vintage Neumann M7, Blue, and Violet Audio capsules. For example, if you own multiple Blue Bottle capsules, you can obtain twice the sound of your existing capsule.
Even if you don't own a capsule, purchasing multiple capsules allows you to obtain multiple high-quality vintage sounds with different characteristics.
The listing includes the microphone itself, an external power supply, a cable connecting the microphone to the external power supply, and the unmodified cable.
The shock mount, stand, and capsule shown in the image are not included.
