For sale is a Fender Highway One Stratocaster made in the USA in October 2003.
The guitar is fully functional and has recently been cleaned, inspected, and professionally set up. The frets are in very good condition and do not require leveling or any additional work. The neck is straight, the instrument intonates correctly, and tuning stability is excellent.
The tremolo bridge is currently decked against the body, providing the feel and tuning stability of a hardtail guitar. This setup can easily be reversed by the next owner if full floating tremolo operation is preferred.
The guitar is in very good playing condition. The tuners operate smoothly, the electronics function properly, and all controls work as they should without unwanted noise. It is ready to play immediately.
One of the defining features of the Highway One series is its thin satin nitrocellulose finish, which allows the body to resonate freely and gives the instrument a lighter, more organic feel compared to many modern Stratocasters.
The guitar has been fitted with a fresh set of strings. The fretboard has been cleaned and conditioned, and the frets have been polished.
An interesting feature of this particular instrument is that it belongs to the earlier generation of Highway One models. It features the smaller pre-CBS style headstock and two string trees, whereas most later Highway One Stratocasters are associated with the larger 1970s-style headstock. Because of this, it combines the classic appearance of a traditional American Stratocaster with the thin nitro finish and lively resonance that made the Highway One series popular among players.
