About this listing
The Yamaha Revstar has since become a true icon with its unique design and highly diverse sound. Imagined by artists such as Chris Buck, Matteo Mancuso and Alicia Rei Kim. Revstar offers the balance between Japanese innovation and traditional craftsmanship. Modern features enhance playability, versatility and tone, while the design references classic Yamaha electric guitars dating back to 1966.ProfessionalThe Revstar professional series is the pinnacle of Yamaha's innovation and engineering within the Revstar series. This Japanese-built guitar paid attention to every little detail to create a perfect instrument, with possibly one of the most versatile tonal applications. The chambered mahogany body, cabonfiber reinforcement in the neck and body, and the I.R.A Treatment gives the Revstar RSP incredible resonance and sustain. Japanese craftsmanship delivers an incredibly smooth playing instrument that you will enjoy for years to come. The clever 5 way switching and focus switch gives you unprecedented tonal possibilities without the concessions that a coil-split would give.ChamberedRevstars owe their bright sound, among other things, to their chambered body. This means that the wood the body is made of is hollowed out in specific places to make the body more resonant. In addition to this extra tone quality, the guitar is also lighter as a result.I.R.A.When the Revstar RSP is complete, it receives an I.R.A. treatment. This adds for a long time specific vibrations applied. This promotes resonance and sustain, and gives the same effect as if you have been playing the guitar for years.Extra tone! The RSP20 and RSP02 include a 5 way blade switch and a focus switch on the tone knob to create additional tone variations. The between positions 2 and 4 on the 5 way blade puts one of the pickups, depending on position, half in phase. This makes specific tones, in specifically calibrated fashion, cancel out to get an almost single coil like sound without any hum back on the signal. The focus switch, which we turn on through a push-pull system on the tone knob, adds a high-cut and gives a slight boost in the midrange to bring lead parts forward without making your tone shrill and dreary.Specifications:Pickup neck: P90 type Single coil / Alnico VPick-up bridge: P90 type Single coil / Alnico V5 way bladeBridge: Fixed bridgeBody: Chambered Mahogany with Carbon fiber ReinforcementTop: MapleNeck construction: Set neckNeck material: 3-piece mahogany with carbon fiber reinforcementFretboard: RosewoodFinnish body: Gloss PolyurethaneFinnish neck: Satin PolyurethaneScale length: 24¾"Fretboard radius 12"Fretwire: Jumbo stainless steelNumber of frets: 22Controls: Volume, Tone, Focus switchBridge type: Tune-O-MaticI.R.A. treatmentCase included
