Ultra-Rare 1992 Gibson Starburst Custom - Emerald Green - First Year - 100% All-Original - Premium 2-Piece Neck Variant - Excellent Condition Description: For sale is an absolute unicorn for Gibson collectors and stage musicians alike: a 100% all-original 1992 Gibson Starburst in the highly coveted and elusive Emerald Green finish. Built during the very first year of production at the legendary Bozeman, Montana plant, this guitar is a stunning, unmodified example of early 90s Gibson innovation. This specific unit has been played very little over the past three decades—a true "Sleeping Beauty" whose all-maple body is just now beginning to wake up, offering a breathtaking, crystal-clear tone with immediate projection and bell-like note separation. Condition, Playability & Aesthetics: The guitar is in excellent cosmetic and playing condition, showing that it has been treated with the utmost care throughout its life. Cosmetics: Aside from the gorgeous natural aging of the wood, it has been preserved beautifully. The original nitrocellulose lacquer has developed a stunning, authentic weather checking (craquelé) across the body. This natural aging process gives the vibrant Emerald Green finish an incredible vintage character. The original pickguard shows a very slight lift at the edges—completely typical for a Gibson of this age—but it is perfectly stable and does not interfere with playing or comfort in any way. Playability & Functionality: Structurally 100% perfect with no cracks or repairs. The neck is straight, the frets are in perfect condition, and the action is low and fast. Even when strung with a heavy .013-.056 Medium gauge set to fully drive the maple top, the guitar plays like absolute butter, offering effortless fretting and comfort without sacrificing an ounce of tone. The original electronics and hardware work flawlessly. What makes this specific Starburst a rare collector's piece: 100% All-Original: No modifications, no swapped parts. A pure time capsule from 1992. First Year of Production (1992): Highly sought after by collectors as it represents the very first run of this iconic model out of the Montana factory. Exclusive 2-Piece Maple Neck (J-200 Style): Unlike the vast majority of Starbursts found online which feature a 3-piece maple neck with double stripes, this rare variant features a premium 2-piece maple construction with a single dark skunk stripe, mirroring the construction of high-end J-200 Customs. This provides unparalleled structural stability and a cleaner, more uniform aesthetic for the Emerald Green stain. All-Maple Construction: Top, back, and sides are crafted from select maple, giving this mini-jumbo (16" lower bout) an incredible acoustic punch, fast attack, and unmatched feedback resistance on stage. Original Fishman Electronics with Dual Knobs: Equipped with the highly desirable dual-knob factory Fishman preamp system, which is widely considered much more robust and reliable than the slider versions. Stunning Vintage Aesthetics: Star/Diamond mother-of-pearl inlays on the rosewood fretboard and bridge, matched with a sharp Florentine cutaway. Specs: Year: 1992 (First Year of Production) Origin: Bozeman, Montana, USA Body Size: 16" Mini-Jumbo (Highly ergonomic and comfortable profile) Finish: Original Nitrocellulose Emerald Green Condition: Excellent cosmetic and working condition (100% original, gorgeous natural finish checking, minor pickguard edge lifting) Neck Profile: Premium 2-piece Maple with single reinforcement stripe Hardware: Gold Grover tuners Case: Includes original Gibson hard case. This is a rare opportunity to own a first-year piece of Gibson history in a specification setup and condition you might never see online again. Perfect for the studio, the stage, or a high-end collection.
