Offered for sale is a 2019 Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Journeyman Stratocaster, complete with its original Fender Custom Shop hard case, Certificate of Authenticity (COA), tremolo arm and back plate.

This is one of those Custom Shop Strats that immediately shows why the Fender Custom Shop has earned its reputation. Built as part of the highly regarded Postmodern Journeyman series, it captures the feel and character of a great early-'60s Strat while incorporating subtle modern refinements that genuinely improve playability without sacrificing its vintage soul.

The guitar features a lightweight ash body, a comfortable 1960 Oval "C" neck, a 12" fingerboard radius, Medium Jumbo frets, and a modern contoured neck heel for effortless upper-fret access. The Journeyman relic treatment is tasteful and understated, with light wear on the back of the neck that gives it the feel of a naturally broken-in instrument from day one.

The hand-wound Custom Shop pickup set is exceptionally well balanced, with smooth volume transitions across all five positions while retaining the distinctive character of each pickup. Expect airy, glassy neck tones, beautifully vocal in-between positions, and a bridge pickup that cuts through the mix without ever sounding harsh.

This Strat has a fast, percussive attack, excellent note separation and an inspiring dynamic response. It excels at clean tones, edge-of-breakup sounds and expressive overdriven playing, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio. The overall voice is unmistakably Stratocaster: open, dynamic and highly expressive. It delivers the kind of articulate cleans, vocal in-between tones and responsive drive that have made this style of instrument associated with players such as John Mayer, Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante.
