Greco PB-450 Spacy Sound – Japan 1981 – Sen Ash

Description

Early 80s Fujigen-era Greco Precision-style bass from 1981, part of the “Spacy Sound” series.

This example features a sen ash (Japanese ash) body with a sunburst polyester finish, maple neck and maple fingerboard. The fretboard on this instrument shows particularly expressive grain, adding visual character rarely seen on standard examples from the period.

The Greco / Maxon PU-P5 pickup delivers a classic, full-bodied Precision-style tone with strong articulation and clarity. The electronics appear original, although some solder joints show signs of age or prior servicing.

Currently strung with D’Addario ETB92 tapewound strings (excellent condition), providing a warm, focused low end and smooth playing feel.
