I am offering a Fender Stratocaster Plus Deluxe from 1988, finished in the highly sought-after Gun Metal Blue. This is an early Plus Deluxe model from the pre-LSR era, produced before Fender introduced the LSR roller nut in the 1990s.

This guitar features the original Fender nylon nut, which is correct for early Strat Plus / Plus Deluxe models, and does not use string trees, as per factory specification. String trees were not used on Strat Plus models due to the headstock geometry and locking tuner system.

The serial number E800522 confirms early production from the first phase of the Strat Plus Deluxe line. The guitar retains all the correct features for this period: Fender/Schaller locking tuners, full Lace Sensor Silver / Blue / Red pickup set, 2-point Fender tremolo bridge, and the distinctive dark metallic finish exclusive to Deluxe models in the late 1980s.

The instrument plays exceptionally well – the action is very low, the neck is straight, and the frets are in excellent condition. The Lace Sensors deliver a clean, dynamic and noise-free signal with impressive versatility: clear and glassy Silver neck tones, balanced Blue in the middle position, and the powerful Red bridge pickup suited for modern drive tones.

Overall condition is very good for a 35-year-old instrument. Only normal player wear is present. There are no breaks, no structural issues, and no modifications. Electronics are original and untouched. The locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability, even with extensive tremolo use.

This is a great opportunity to acquire an early Strat Plus Deluxe, a model that marked the beginning of Fender’s modern design approach, long before the American Deluxe, Elite or Ultra series.
