But Ibanez doesn't just offer something for the eyes; this very, very special bass also appeals to the ears and hands. A quick look at the specs: a beautiful maple burl top adorns the Honduras mahogany body. A 5-piece maple/purple heart neck with ebony fingerboard spans 24 frets and ends in a matching headstock crowned by Gotoh tuners. On the electronics side, we find an Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ with active/passive switching, whereby the treble pot becomes a passive tone control. Another switch controls the mid frequency. The pickups are Nordstrand Big Single (passive) in matching wooden housings, which are also tastefully integrated into the overall appearance.
