Overview
The Crane Song HEDD ("Harmonically Enhanced Digital Device") is an A/D, D/A, D/D unit with digital processing which emulates the harmonic distortion of tubes and magnetic tape. It is most frequently used as a capture/monitoring converter for the stereo buss in mixing and mastering applications. The processing can be done entirely digitally on individual stems or an entire mix without having to do A/D and D/A conversions.
