The StingRay was introduced in 1976 and has become a classic, just like Fender's Precision or J-Bass. But while these have undergone more or less significant modifications over the years, the folks at Music Man apparently felt there was nothing left to improve on in the original design. And they were probably right.
The Stingray 5 shown here was made in 1998 and is in incredibly pristine condition. It almost looks like a brand new instrument – no scratches, dings, or dents, and the frets and fretboard are in perfect condition. We acquired this bass from its original owner and see no reason why it shouldn't be a faithful and fantastic-sounding companion for its new owner for decades to come.
