The MC924 is a Musician series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was produced in Japan by FujiGen.

This bass in particular was made in 1982. It's been used for years but it's in an incredibly great shape for a 40+ year old instrument.

After some time (lawsuit years) making great copies of classic instruments (usually better quality than the originals), Ibanez decided to launch a series of "boutique" instruments, proving that they could actually build top quality instruments from Japan using only top woods, hardware and electronics.

That's the reason why these Musician basses from the early 80's are so sought after by players around the globe. You get an amazing instrument for the price, WAY better than some late 70's or early 80's American basses that today sell for 2-3 times as much as these. Don't miss this opportunity.

The MC924 features neck-through-body construction on mahogany with bookmatched ash top attached to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with abalone dot position markers and a darkened ash headstock. Components include an Accu-Cast B gold plated fixed bridge with brass, cylindrical saddles and 19mm string spacing, and a pair of Super P5 and Super J5 pickup's single-coil transducers controlled by a highly developed correction system with two parallel tracks: passive and active operation is possible.

In Passive mode you get Volume, Balance and Tone. In Active mode you get Bass, Mid and Treble.

Tuners have been replaced by a set of top quality Schaller units.

There are some dings and marks on the bass, obviously (it's been used and loved for years) but none of them affect the bass in any manner.

We have completely refurbished this bass: pro set up, electronics cleaning, etc. It plays and sounds just great.
