With its extended 26.5"-scale length, the Ibanez RGD621AH-MNF is designed for modern metal sounds and low tunings, and is equipped with the appropriate features. The okoumé body with its distinctive ash top is paired with a five-piece Wizard III neck made from Panga Panga and walnut, whose slim profile, together with the Macassar ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets and a 400 mm radius, creates the ideal conditions for fast riffs and precise lead playing. Two passive DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers deliver a tight tone with a defined bass response and aggressive attack, whilst an additional coil-tap switch allows for further tonal variations. The fixed Gibraltar Standard III bridge ensures a comfortable hand rest and direct vibration transfer, whilst Gotoh MG-T locking tuners and luminescent side dots round off the modern specification. The RGD comes factory-set in standard D tuning to match its extended scale length.
