The Ibanez SR1420B-CGL E-Bass comes with a solid mahogany body and a four-bolt, five-piece panga panga/amaranth neck and delivers extremely comfortable handling. The 38 mm wide Graph Tech Black TUSQXL nut in combination with the Gotoh GB-707 die-cast tuners not only ensures precise Tuning but also enormous tuning stability. The 12" curly maple fingerboard features Blue oval inlays and gives this model an exotic look.

The solid mahogany body delivers a rich mid-low end and is a real visual highlight thanks to the beautiful wood grain of the flamed maple top. The panga panga/amaranth neck of the SR1420B-CGL provides a balanced attack and opulent sustain. The KTS titanium reinforcement rods built into the neck improve stability and also provide increased sustain. 24 medium frets on the fretboard ensure high accuracy even with fast riffs.

The two Nordstrand Big Break pickups deliver a full, powerful and aggressive tone without losing the characteristic highs of a single coil or generating annoying noise. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-Band EQ is the latest Generation in simple, precise EQ control. With this innovation, the Boost and cut of the mid-control are set to slightly different frequencies, creating a preset range of popular bass sounds. To expand the variety of the SR1420B-CGL, it has an EQ bypass switch that allows precise adjustments to the sound, including the option of a passive circuit. As soon as the EQ bypass is activated, the treble control becomes the master tone control for the passive circuit. Thanks to the 3-way mid-frequency switch, a frequency for the mid-tones can be selected between 250, 450 and 700 Hz.
