The Gretsch G6134T-58 Vintage Select Edition '58 Penguin Bigsby Vintage White convinces as an instrument of the Gretsch Professional Collection manufactured in Japan with flawless workmanship and historical specifications. Accordingly, the Singlecut Hollow Body electric guitar has a mahogany body with resonance chambers and a mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Two TV Jones Classic humbuckers deliver the full and brilliant Gretsch sound on the amplifier, which forms the perfect basis for classic rock'n'roll and blues. Last but not least, the Gretsch Penguin is equipped with a Bigsby Vibrato, a Space Control Bridge and precise Grover Imperial tuners.

The construction of the Gretsch G6134T-58 Penguin follows the historical specifications of 1958, so the electric guitar has a mahogany body with generous resonance chambers, which are closed off by a laminated maple top and colour the sound with an acoustic timbre. The glued mahogany neck is also held in the "Standard U"-profile and lies comfortably in the hand, so that on the ebony fingerboard every lick goes out of hand by itself.

Two TV Jones Classic humbuckers in neck and bridge position are used as pickups on the Gretsch G6134T-58 VSE '58 Penguin. Accordingly, the amplifier provides a brilliant sound image that skilfully captures the acoustic timbre of the Hollow Body construction. The organic dynamics of the pickups also place the tone shaping in the player's hands so that expressive electric guitar playing is possible. The pickups are managed via the typical Gretsch circuit which, in addition to individual volume controls, provides a master volume control for each pickup and a three-step tone switch for damping the treble.

The traditional Bigsby B30G vibrato, which decorates melodies and chords with shimmering modulations of pitch, unmistakably serves as the tailpiece on the Gretsch G6134T Penguin. From here the strings run over the Gretsch Space Control Bridge mounted on an ebony base towards the headstock, on which precise Grover Imperial tuners ensure a stable tuning.
