The PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow Satin Pearl White skilfully combines the Vela design, inspired by vintage instruments, with the unique tonal character of the semi-hollow body construction. With its body constructed entirely from mahogany, the S2 Vela Semi-Hollow produces a warm, mid-range primary tone that benefits from the airy character of the sound chamber. Meanwhile, the neck – also crafted from mahogany – ensures that classic PRS feel, featuring a well-balanced ‘Pattern Regular’ back shape and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. The pick-up configuration features a pair comprising a PRS DS-01 humbucker at the bridge and a Narrowfield humbucker in the neck position. Thanks to the push/pull function of the tone control, both humbuckers can also be operated in coil-split mode, meaning that the PRS S2 Vela Semi-Hollow can also deliver crisp, clear single-coil sounds when required.
