With the EVH Striped Series Frankie, Eddie van Halen presents an affordable replica of his legendary Frankenstrat , which is absolutely authentic from the Relic finish to the dummy pickup on the neck and the dummy switch in the middle pickup groove. EVH uses a basswood body and a bolt-on Quartersawn-Maple neck with oil finish, whereby the slim EVH Modified C profile and the compound fretboard radius create the best conditions for extremely smooth playability. With an EVH Wolfgang Humbucker bolted directly into the body wood at the bridge, the EVH Striped Series Frankie delivers hot rock sounds to the guitar amp, which realise flowing solo lines and virtuoso tappings as well as tightly played riffs. As a real Super-Strat, the EVH Frankie also features a Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo with D-Tuna, which not only works absolutely detuning-free, but also allows for lightning-fast and precise retuning to drop-D.
