The Gibson PBBR-010 ABR-1 Tune-o-matic continues a bridge design that has been closely associated with classic Gibson models since the 1950s. During this period, Ted McCarty shaped numerous design developments for the brand – including the ABR-1 Tune-o-matic.
The bridge is mounted directly onto the top via two wood screws and can be adjusted in height using two knurled screws. Six individually adjustable saddles allow for precise intonation adjustment for each string – it was precisely this principle that made the ABR-1 a significant advancement of its time.
In its chrome finish, the ABR-1 combines classic Gibson aesthetics with the familiar functionality of an individually adjustable Tune-o-matic bridge and is particularly suitable for instruments with the corresponding ABR-1 mounting dimensions.
