The TAMA MBS52AZMBSFBK Starclassic Performer Flat Black is a limited-edition 5-piece shell set featuring maple-birch hybrid shells and a consistently all-black finish. The tom and floor tom shells consist of four plies of birch and two inner plies of maple with a wall thickness of 6 mm, whilst the bass drum features five plies of birch and two inner plies of maple, resulting in a wall thickness of 7 mm. The Flat Black finish is combined with matt black lugs, tension hoops and other hardware components; in addition, all the inside surfaces of the shells are painted deep black. Transparent tom heads reveal the dark interiors, whilst a black fibre-laminated front head complements the 22" x 16" bass drum visually. The configuration includes two rack toms measuring 10" x 8" and 12" x 9", as well as two floor toms measuring 14" x 12" and 16" x 14", along with two MC69 single tom attachments.
