Pioneer SX-828 receiver. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized. In 1937 Nozomu Matsumoto created the first magnetoelectric speaker in Japan, and a year later, in Tokyo, he registered the company under the name Fukuin Shokai Denki Seisakusho. In 1961, the company’s name was changed to Pioneer Electronic Corporation. However, the breakthrough came in 1962, when the company entered the Tokyo Stock Exchange and created the world’s first stereo system with speakers in separate housings. Four years later, Pioneer opened branches in the USA and in Europe. In 1978, the company created one of the best-known and most powerful receivers in its history SX-1980. Pioneer can also be proud of great successes in the world of auto-moto, as it introduced in 1975 the world’s first automotive stereo subassembly, then in 1984 a CD player and GPS navigation in 1990. The company also played a major role in the development of DVDs, plasma TVs and technologies Organic LED display (OLED). The company is currently part of Pioneer & Onkyo Corporation. The receivers from the SX series are Pioneer’s flagship products from the 1970s. They are characterized by a beautiful, warm and juicy sound and also an unbelievably solid finish. The SX-828 is a high-quality receiver with a high sensitivity and selectivity, launched at the beginning of the 70s. Versatility was the key idea for the creators of this beautifully designed model – it can support two tape recorders, two turntables and three pairs of speaker systems and a microphone. Additionally, the SX-828 is equipped with modern semi-conductor circuits that guarantee distortion-free reception. What also stands out is its wide frequency response and enough power to fill even a large room with perfect sound. This unit is in excellent condition but it does have some flaws, as seen in the photos, that keep it from being in pristine condition. This unit has been fully serviced in terms of capacitors & bias transistors with the original power transistors still in play.Technical data:– power – 2 x 37 W 8 Ohm, stereo– frequency response – 7Hz – 80kHz– total harmonic distortion – 0.5%– input sensitivity – 2,7mV (microphone), 3mV (MM), 200mV (DIN), 200 mV (line)– signal-to-noise ratio – 85dB (MM), 95dB (line)– output – 200mV (line), 35mV (DIN)– weight – 15 kg– damping factor – 40– dimensions – 48,5 cm x 16 cm x 36 cm (width x height x depth)– year of production 1972Additional informationWeight 20 kgDimensions 50 x 60 x 50 cm7 day warranty10% restocking fee
