Description:A Neumann TLM 170 R in matte black, serial #07778. It's in excellent working condition. Very good cocondition. The TLM 170 R is Neumann's transformerless large-diaphragm condenser, and it's been discontinued for years. It has five polar patterns (omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-8), plus a pad and low cut. The "R" means you can also switch patterns remotely with the right power supply, though it runs fine on standard phantom. It's clean, detailed, and honest without the hype of a lot of modern condensers. It's great on vocals, acoustic guitar, piano, and drum overheads and rooms, and the multiple patterns make it easy to use for just about anything.Included: • Neumann TLM 170 R mt microphone • Original Neumann wooden box- great condition, old label mark can be cleaned quickly with Goo Gone.Condition: Excellent working condition. Minor dent in mesh and very minor cosmetic blemishes- see photos. Cared for in smoke free studio.Purchased in 2012Ships carefully packed. Feel free to send questions.
