Catalinbread Echorec Mountain Limited Edition

The Catalinbread Echorec Mountain Limited Edition is a special version of the Echorec pedal, inspired by the legendary Binson Echorec, a tape echo of the 50s-70s used by artists like David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. Catalinbread has managed to condense the complexity of this device in a compact pedalboard, maintaining its essence and amplifying its capacities.

Principal Characteristics

• Program Select Control: Permits selecting between 12 combinations of reading heads, offering a wide variety of rhythmic patterns and ambient textures.
• Variable Delay Time: From 40 ms up to 1000 ms, surpassing the limit of 300 ms of the original Binson.
• Tone and Feedback Controls: The "Swell" control adjusts the feedback, while the "Tone" modifies the tonality of the repetitions, permitting from soft echoes up to more metallic sounds.
• Adjustable Internal Modulation: With an internal trimpot, one can adjust the depth of the modulation to obtain chorus or vibrato effects.
• True Bypass or With Tail Mode: An internal switch permits choosing between a traditional bypass or one with a signal tail, ideal for soft transitions between effects.
• Alimentation: Requires a power supply of 9V to 18V DC, being recommendable to use 18V to obtain the maximum headroom.

Design and Limited Edition

The "Mountain" edition presents an exclusive and numbered graphic design, which converts it into a collection piece for enthusiasts of the effects and fans of the brand. Each pedal is fabricated by hand in Portland, Oregon, assuring a high quality of construction.

The Catalinbread Echorec Mountain Limited Edition is an indispensable tool for musicians that seek to explore vintage sounds with a modern touch. Its intuitive design and amplified capacities make it adequate as much for live performances as for studio production.
