To Give Each Drummer an Unique Playing Voice Within the Tonal Spectrum, Pearl's Revolutionary Free Floating Snare Drums Are Custom Tailored to Fit a Specific Task by Model, Shell Material, and Size. the 14"x6.5" Model's 6-Ply Shell Is Composed of Four Other Plies of Maple and Two Inner Plies of African Mahogany, Delivering Full, Rounded Midrange and Bottom-End Snare Tone. Each Drum Features Die-Cast Hoops, the Slip-Free Click-Lock Throw-Off System, and Unique Cylder Lugs.

Pearl's revolutionary die-cast Free Floating chassis allows each shell to speak with a voice that is uninhibited by shell hardware, for true tonal purity. Individually chosen by size, shell type, and application, each drum is true to the Free Floating concept, and gives the player an unrestrained voice within the tonal spectrum.

This model's 6-ply, 7mm shell features four outer plies of North American Maple for tonally-centered projection and body, and two inner plies of African Mahogany for lower-pitch frequencies and harmonics. A stellar "go-to" snare drum for recording in the most demanding environments.
