This is an Epiphone Limited Edition Korina Explorer Bass in Black.
Based on the serial number, it was made in 2010 in Korea.
According to the catalog specs, both the body and neck are listed as Korina. However, there is also a rumor that the actual construction may be basswood with a Korina veneer. The truth is unclear, and since this one is finished in solid black, it is not possible to determine visually either way. The fingerboard is rosewood, and it has a long scale.
Used examples of offset or body-shaped basses like this often show heavy wear, and it is not easy to find one in good condition. This one is now more than 15 years old, but it remains in relatively good shape (Neck repair). If you have been looking for one, this is a great opportunity.
