About this listing
The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi brings classic Big Muff saturation and sustain to bass guitar with extra control over low-end weight and clean-signal definition.
Inspired by the powerful bass response of the 1990s Black Russian Big Muff, it combines the familiar Volume, Tone and Sustain controls with a useful Bass Boost / Norm / Dry switch and dedicated Dry Out.
Presented Brand New.
Big Muff Tone for Bass
The Bass Big Muff Pi delivers thick fuzz, smooth compression and long sustain while retaining the low-frequency weight needed for bass.
It works particularly well for rock, alternative, grunge, doom, stoner, sludge and heavier bass sounds.
Bass Boost, Norm & Dry
The three-position switch adds useful flexibility:
Bass Boost – Adds extra low-end to the distorted signal
Norm – Standard Big Muff-style fuzz response
Dry – Blends your clean bass signal with the distorted sound
Dry mode is especially useful when you want heavy fuzz without losing attack or fundamental low end.
Dedicated Dry Out
A separate Dry Out provides the unaffected bass signal independently from the main effect output.
This makes the pedal useful for dual-amp, parallel effects and recording setups where clean and fuzz signals need to be routed separately.

Fair Deal Music Verdict
The Electro-Harmonix Bass Big Muff Pi is an excellent choice for bassists who want classic Big Muff saturation without sacrificing low-end presence.
Its Bass Boost, Dry mode and dedicated Dry Out make it far more practical for bass than a conventional guitar-focused fuzz, while the familiar three-knob layout keeps it simple to use.
For rock, grunge, doom, stoner and heavier bass styles, the Bass Big Muff Pi remains a strong pedalboard choice.
