Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Standard is one of the models that has literally made rock and metal history. The guitar features a classic mahogany body, a mahogany neck with a fast '60s Slim Taper profile, and electronics include a pair of Alnico Classic PRO pickups, recently redesigned by Epiphone and based on the highly sought-after Gibson '57 Classics. The pickups are based on Alnico II magnets, offering a warm tone while still allowing for particularly saturated overdrive tones.
