La serie Onyks presenta piatti con finitura scura, grezza e non tornita sulla parte superiore, mentre la parte inferiore è tornita nella maniera classica tranne sotto la campana. La martellatura è molto fitta.
Questo piatto ha un timbro molto scuro e avvolgente, con un ping definito e un alone di armonici piacevole e misurato. Un ride dal suono caldo. Piuttosto versatile anche se pensato per il Jazz.
