This is a drum set from SAKAE, the Japanese drum manufacturer.
Sakae has been manufacturing drums as an OEM partner for Yamaha for many years, producing iconic models such as the YD9000 and Maple Custom.
This drum set is made entirely from American maple. It can essentially be considered a Yamaha Maple Custom.
The finish is the classic Yamaha Sparkle, a highly popular lacquer finish.
It has been in use at the studio for many years, and while there are some scuffs on the bass drum hoops and shell, it has a wonderful, fully aged sound.
