DW Collector’s SATIN OIL, made in the USA in 1996 (10” in 1995), consisting of 4 pieces. The finish is Emerald Green with the wood grain visible. The badges are the authentic gold ones from the Keller era. This is the era of KELLER shells, 9 plies of 100% Rock Maple (North American Maple). They are VERY thin shells, about 4.5mm, with relatively thin reinforcement hoops, so they barely interfere with the sound. It sounds great, with a lot of body, resonance, and clarity. The shells are tonally matched and marked with the fundamental note of each one printed on the inner ply, along with the date of manufacture and the batch number. This drum kit is incredibly lightweight, very easy to tune, and perfect for recording and live performance. The purity, bass, and overall sound quality are amazing. It features classic DW lugs and floating RIMS systems that rest on the tension rods and don't touch the shell. It has 2.3mm hoops and Remo heads in very good condition. The front head is the original, which is very hard to find. For me, this is the highest quality you can buy, the top-of-the-line model, perfect for studio or live performance, and with very versatile dimensions. You'll find few better options. And those with Keller shells are the most sought-after and hardest to acquire. It's practically brand new, with intact shells, shiny hardware, and all its original parts.
