The result is an unparalleled cost-effective synth brand that offers well under $100 per module which is done so by the use of small pin-sockets and single conductor patch wires instead of conventional minijack-cables. This switch alone dramatically reduced the cost and saves a lot of space on the module.
Despite the system's lower price point, the Explorer "Ultimate" is fully loaded with features and a plethora of modules that invite experimentation and modification with code and circuits. This system includes the Master I/O module, which features power, MIDI, CV/Gate, and audio in/out. The 2OSC/d module contains two oscillators with sawtooth and square waveforms, while the Drumkit 010 module offers lofi drum samples. The 2LFO module includes two low frequency oscillators with various waveforms, and the 2ENV module offers two attack/decay envelopes with a looping function. In addition, the Tangible Waves Synth Explorer "Ultimate" also boasts a fully programmable module based on Arduino called Grains, which allows users to create their own unique sounds.
