The Halcyon Blue is a boutique overdrive pedal handcrafted in England, inspired by the legendary 1990s Marshall Bluesbreaker. It retains its smooth, warm, and highly dynamic tone while adding modern features. Like other models in the Halcyon range, it incorporates patented Adaptive Circuitry technology, which gradually eliminates midrange emphasis when the guitar volume is lowered or the playing is more subtle, resulting in a clear, open, and natural sound. It features Drive, Tone, Level, and Dry controls, as well as Adapt (three dynamic response modes) and Voice switches. Voice switches allow you to choose between a BB mode faithful to the original Bluesbreaker and a MOD mode offering more gain, bass, and different clipping. Its overdrive covers the low to mid-gain range with excellent touch sensitivity, making it ideal both as an always-on pedal and for pushing a slightly overdriven tube amp. Featuring a high-end buffer, premium components and a 9V DC (200mA) power supply, it is now considered one of the best modern reinterpretations of the Bluesbreaker circuit.
