I am offering a custom-ordered ThroBak DT-102 pickup set in excellent condition.
While a standard DT-102 set typically features an Alnico 2 long magnet in the neck pickup and an Unoriented Alnico 5 Illinois long magnet in the bridge pickup, this particular set was specially ordered with Alnico 2 long magnets in both the neck and bridge pickups.
Compared to the standard DT-102 set, this configuration delivers a slightly scooped midrange, sweeter highs, and a more open, chime-like character. The overall tone is reminiscent of a low-output vintage PAF, making it an excellent choice for jazz, blues, classic rock, and hard rock alike.
The pickups feature the popular aged nickel cover option with double cream bobbins underneath. The covers have never been removed or opened. The lead wires are exceptionally long and are more than sufficient for installation in a Les Paul, as well as semi-hollow guitars.
The pickups are in near-mint condition. Included are the original box, specification sheet, and the pickup set itself. Please note that mounting screws and springs are not included.
