The Gibson Les Paul Studio Session takes a beloved guitar, the Les Paul Studio, and makes it even greater with modern enhancements. Featuring better tonewoods, powerful pickups, and a more comfortable design, the Les Paul Studio Session is the true workingman's guitar.
Starting at the foundation, this Gibson has an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, making it lighter than a typical Les Paul. The body is capped with an AA-figured maple top, giving it a stunning appearance, especially when paired with the Bourbon Burst finish. Other notable aesthetic appointments include the gold top hat knobs and single-ply cream fretboard binding.
From a playability standpoint, the Les Paul Studio Session checks all the boxes. A SlimTaper mahogany neck provides a fast, classic feel, while the modern contoured neck heel allows easy transitioning to the upper frets.
Embodying the spirit of the "everyman's" guitar, the Les Paul Studio Session has a versatile pair of pickups. The '57 Classic in the neck position is warm and balanced, modeled after a vintage '50s PAF humbucker. The '57 Classic+ bridge pickup is slightly overwound for more punch and output. Both are connected to push/pull volume and tone controls for coil-tapping, phase switching, and pure bypass switching.
The Les Paul Studio Session comes with a softshell case for convenient transportation. For the modern performer seeking a top-notch guitar that offers style, tone, and feel in a time-honored package, this Gibson delivers on every front.
