Introduced alongside the Thinline and Deluxe in 1972, the Custom normally replaces its usual neck pickup with a Wide Range model developed by Seth Lover. Here, the neck pickup has been swapped for a Micawber-style humbucker inspired by Keith Richards, more precisely a Seymour Duncan SH-6 Distortion. The maple neck features a maple fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius and is paired with a black body. As expected from Japanese production, the craftsmanship, assembly, and finish quality are exemplary.
