Overview: The vast majority of German-import violins are so-so but can sound and play nicely when fixed-up. This one is a Strad copy of the type that would have been more "up front" in something like the Met Music catalog back in the day. It's got a one-piece back, is elegantly-carved, and is a clean-lined instrument built to a higher spec than average. The varnish glows nicely and it plays a treat. I'm guesstimating on age, but it is likely late '20s to early '30s judging by the label style and cut.

Repairs included: Manny planed the board just a bit and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to go.
