Vintage Buffet Crampon R13 Bb Clarinet--New Valentino Overhaul!

One of several Buffet Crampon R13 clarinets we are offering for sale.  This is a vintage R13 in Bb.  S/n 200XXX makes it 1979—right at the end of Buffet’s best manufacturing days ever.  It is in exceptional condition:  body is a well-aged billet of grenadilla with a nice, tight grain and no chips, cracks or repairs.  Tenons are square with no wobble between joints.  Nickel plating about 99.5% with little if any wear at all.  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, hand polished, lubed, had all new tenon corks installed, and was repadded with long-lasting Valentino synthetic pads.  Plays evenly across all registers with a moderately dark tone and little resistance.  Cork grease and key oil are for local pickup only, but it does include several new key and mouthpiece brushes, two new mouthpiece guards, a new ProTec microfiber cloth, a new SuperSlick chamois swab, and adjustment screwdriver, and a Buffet reed case.  All in the Buffet pochette case with zippered cover.  A great-playing clarinet in nearly new condition from one of the best periods ever, and more than $2,000 less than new!
