The Case...
This guitar comes in an era-correct Gibson Lifton Reissue style hardcase. Inside sleeps some of the original paperwork
The Guitar!
Here is a really special one offered from my personal collection! This is not only an APEX Headcarve prototype guitar, but also one that utilized a unique tailpiece that didn't see production due to being too expensive to manufacture. It was developed by Matt Klein. This one is labeled as Prototype #2 in this run of experiments. I have #6 as well which is a Modern DC with the same finish and bridge style. I got this from Carter Vintage who was consigning it for a Gibson employee a few years ago
Condition wise, this is pretty clean. It has lots of polishing swirls that could probably be polished off better, but outside of that, just some edge wear and light nicks/dings. It is pretty clean for a prototype.
