This is truly a one of a kind opportunity to get your hands on a classic SSL in a perfect size and condition!

Fitted with 32 mono channels of 292EQ, internal patchbay, VU-metering for channels and analog PPMs in center section. Full G+ specification with G+ center section, post talkback compressor o/p available on patchbay, LED meter illumination and oxygen free cabling throughout.

Thanks to the custom ordered frame with its narrow center section and thin end trims this console will give you a classic SSL in just 200cm width. This make it a perfect fit for any small to medium sized studio or hybrid setup.

Delivered new during spring 1998 and installed in a specific broadcast setup where it was regularly powered up and used for only about two days a month. This equals an aggregated everyday usage of just 19 months since new! Therefore this console shows only very light signs of use or age. After decommissioning, from its first and only user, all functions and signal paths has been verified, calibrated and measured for frequency response, phase and THD+N. Typical measurement values are as below.

• Very long path: Channel line Input>Dynamic>Equalizer>Insert>Large fader>Small fader>Bus matrix>Channel bus output: Frequency roll off -1,5db@10Hz and -2,4dB@40kHz, Phase shift -45°@20Hz and +60°@20kHz, THD+N unweighted below 0,01% with a slight VCA-bump to 0,02% around 7kHz.

• Short path: Microphone input>Small fader>Direct output: Frequency roll off -0,4db@10Hz and -0,4dB@40kHz, Phase shift -15°@20Hz and +15°@20kHz, THD+N unweighted average below 0,005%.

• Mix busses: Pre vca insert>Mix bus output: Frequency roll off -0,03db@10Hz and -0,5dB@40kHz, Phase shift -2°@20Hz and +20°@20kHz, THD+N unweighted average below 0,008%.

All measurements were made with the Prism Sound dScope Series III.

Although this console was never fitted with automation or total recall it is prepared for easy interfacing with the new THD-Labs Tangerine automation for DAW control.

Everything works like a charm and measures as you could expect from an almost brand new SL4000, so for a 24 year old console that hasn’t been recapped these are nothing but amazing figures!
