The Buffet E12F Clarinet in Bb (B-flat) is a high-quality Grenadilla wood clarinet with silver-plated key mechanism, aimed at ambitious players as the final step before a professional clarinet.The E12F is based on the professional clarinets of Buffet Crampon, thus providing the recognizable rich and warm sound for which the professional Buffet clarinets are famous. The wooden body of the clarinet is made in the French workshop, but the valve mechanism, finish and quality control are carried out by the workshop in Markneukirchen, in Germany.The Buffet Crampon E12F clarinet distinguishes itself from the E11 by the newly developed poly-cylindric bore, leather pads and an enhanced, forged steel mechanism that was first copper-plated and then silver-plated. The wood components are treated with a colorless varnish to protect the clarinet from scratches and cracks. Furthermore, ease of play, reliability and accurate intonation are the key features of this clarinet.
