Squier by Fender Stratocaster CST-30 (MIJ, 1985)

This is a Squier by Fender Stratocaster CST-30, an early Made in Japan Squier built at the Fujigen factory during the first years of Fender Japan production.
Based on the A-serial number and neck date, this guitar was manufactured in 1985.

The neck features a vintage-style grip, closer in feel to classic Fender necks and noticeably different from later or current Japanese Fender models. While cost-saving measures were used compared to Fender Japan’s regular lineup at the time, such as differences in hardware and electronics, this also makes the guitar a great platform for future upgrades if desired.

Despite being nearly 40 years old, the guitar remains in very clean condition for its age. It delivers particularly clear and beautiful half-tone sounds, making it well suited for clean playing.

The instrument has been fully serviced by our in-house repair department.

• Neck: slight forward bow
• Minor neck twist is present but does not affect playability
• Truss rod: slightly biased toward the loosened (left) side
• Fret condition: approx. 80% remaining
• String height at the 12th fret:
• • 6th string: 1.7 mm
  • 1st string: 1.6 mm
• Cosmetic wear consistent with age, including pickguard scratches and general signs of use
• Tremolo arm is missing
