The Roland MC-707 is a standalone eight-track groovebox built for creating complete songs and performing live electronic sets without a computer. It combines the ZEN-Core Synthesis System, deep sampling capabilities, clip-based sequencing, and per-track effects processing with hands-on faders, knobs, and 16 velocity-sensitive pads for tactile, immediate music creation.

Sound Engine & Multi-Track Workflow

Eight independent tracks give you room for full arrangements: layer drums, bass, synths, pads, audio loops, and sampled vocals into scenes that can be chained for complete song structures. The ZEN-Core engine delivers 128-voice polyphony and over 3,000 preset tones including faithful recreations of the TR-808, TR-909, TB-303, JUNO-106, and SH-101. Each track gets its own multi-effects processor (90 types), EQ, chorus/delay, and reverb, while master effects with bus compressor shape your final output. The onboard sampler records audio on the fly, synchronized to your project tempo, with slicing, truncating, and reversing for hands-on mangling. Individual track faders provide real-time mixing, and all knob movements can be recorded as automation. Advanced USB audio interface capabilities let you record all eight parts to individual DAW tracks or sample sounds back from your computer.
