Guild, beloved by countless folk singers, including Paul Simon, John Denver, and Nick Drake, is a guitar brand that remains a secret favorite among enthusiasts and enjoys a loyal following among its core fans. This instrument is a pre-owned 1984 model, the "D-55NT," a flagship model popular for its gorgeous looks and powerful sound. It features a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, and pearl and abalone fingerboard inlays. The rich and luxurious details typical of high-end models make this a popular model with a cool aesthetic. Its sound is powerful yet delicate, with a well-balanced tone. A strap pin has been added to the neck heel, and a crack has been repaired along the inside bottom of the pickguard. A pickup has been installed in the past, and the end has been widened. The saddle has been adjusted and there is very little remaining saddle height. While there are some scratches and dents, it is in good condition considering its age, indicating that it has been well-used. This popular flagship model has become less and less common in used markets recently. It comes with an original hard case.
