Ernie Ball's 2229 Hyper Slinky electric guitar strings are made from nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a tin-plated hex-shaped steel core wire. Their tone and feel are very close to their Super Slinky strings, but with less tension on the top three strings for easier bending and a light, fast feel.
