This model faithfully recreates the specifications of a mid-1970s Jazz Bass, featuring iconic details such as an ash body, maple fingerboard, black block inlays, and the classic 3-bolt neck joint.

Tight 70s Jazz Bass Tone

Thanks to the characteristic ’70s pickup spacing, with the bridge pickup positioned slightly closer to the bridge, this bass delivers a tight, articulate tone with excellent note definition.

It produces the sharp attack and clarity expected from a 70s Jazz Bass, while maintaining enough midrange presence to cut through a dense mix with ease.

Mature Period of the American Vintage Series

Built just before the major 2012 specification updates, this bass comes from the final years of Fender’s long-running original American Vintage series.

By this stage, years of accumulated production experience resulted in consistently high build quality and refined craftsmanship throughout the instrument.

Excellent Weight Balance – 4.01kg

At 4.01kg, this is relatively lightweight for a ’75-spec ash-body Jazz Bass.

It balances the wide frequency response and punch associated with ash bodies while remaining comfortable for extended playing sessions.

Condition

For a 2011 instrument, this bass shows remarkably little wear.

There are minor signs of use and light surface scratches, but no major damage, and the overall appearance remains exceptionally clean. The metal hardware also shows minimal tarnishing and retains a very fresh appearance for its age.

All parts remain original.
