Built in Corona, California in 2013, it faithfully recreates the specifications and aesthetics of the original instrument, featuring an alder body with an aged black nitrocellulose finish that captures the visual and tactile character of Gilmour’s iconic guitar. The maple neck with a 1957 Soft V profile and a 7.25" radius maple fingerboard provides smooth playability, while the 21 medium jumbo frets and synthetic bone nut ensure perfect intonation and an authentic late-’50s feel. Electronics feature a SSS configuration with a set of specially voiced single-coil pickups and the mini toggle switch to add neck + bridge pickups. Controls include Master Volume, two Tone knobs, and a 5-way selector switch. The vintage-style hardware includes a six-screw synchronized tremolo bridge, Gotoh vintage tuners, a single-ply black pickguard, and classic Stratocaster knobs. The guitar weighs 3.44 kg, well-balanced and resonant, delivering excellent dynamics and a clear, open tone across the frequency spectrum.
