Up for sale is a Gates Biamote 5136 tube microphone preamplifier, EF86 version. It was manufactured in the USA for broadcasting purposes in the 1950s. Top quality and popular in recording studios ever since.
Huge and detailed sound, nice coloration when driven harder. This unit has been modified to serve as a dedicated mic preamplifier, bypassing the mixing stage. Approx. 70 dB gain!
110V US voltage
