This is a 1984 Schecter (Texas era) “super strat” Scorcher. The guitar is in perfect playing condition and is an amazing guitar. The playing action is fantastic and original frets are in great shape.
This is one of my personal instruments and I have owned it since 1994! I purchased it in Charleston SC when I was teaching there. When I bought the guitar, it was factory bright red and had the correct logo on the headstock which indicated neck and guitar were made in Texas (this was not the logo from Canada, where some necks were manufactured also at that time). The brazillian rosewood board and maple neck are in great shape and are fantastic quality - making these guitars so popular and collectible.
Being a Gibson archtop nut, I had the guitar refinished in Gibson iced-tea sunburst at that time. It is a beautiful job, which now shows some minor normal playing wear. There is one tiny dent on the upper bout horn…see pics.And minor surface player wear here and there.
Very rare original brass neck plate. Schecter logo tuners and schecter logo tremolo are original. Original trem arm is included.
The Seymour Duncan PAF pickups were changed by me in the late 90s….JBJ and jazz PAF humbuckers. Sound fantastic….think Big Apple strat. I added the Fender USA tortoise guard and matching USA Fender backplate at that time as well. Knobs are USA fender. I am a fulltime jazz player…this is a fantastic guitar to use for ANY style…sounds great for jazz too.
Playing action is one of the best I have experienced on any strat. Close action over the whole board. REALLY A FANTASTIC PLAYING GUITAR.
Hope this will go to a great home to someone that will really appreciate it. For quality and easy playing/great-sounding, I would put his strat up against ANY USA Fender Custom Shop strat.
Comes with a very good Fender gig bag that only shows minor wear.
